Zoe Buffery Printmaker

About
Zoe is an artist and printmaker living and working in rural North Devon. She creates multi-layered lino-prints, inspired largely by her adventures and wanderings around the coastline and beyond. She uses traditional printmaking techniques and tools, and constantly strives for the highest possible level of craftsmanship.
Zoe’s designs are bold, yet detailed and aim to capture the textures, rhythms and character of the places that inspire her. She has a deep interest in the natural world, the environment and the role we play in shaping our surroundings.
Prior to setting up as a printmaker, Zoe studied Architecture and worked for an engineering firm. This training provided her with strong design and creative principles, which now inform her current work and printmaking process. Relief printing, and in particular the reduction printing process, appeals to both the logical and the creative sides of her personality.
